Liver Transplant

Hey Hangout Family.
I haven't been playing much in the past year or so. Just been really busy and I have had a lot of things going on.

One of the things I have been focusing on is my cousin, Sean Jesiolowski, has a liver disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). A few years ago he found out he is in need of a liver transplant.

I have been approved as a donor and our surgery date is scheduled for 2/27. We are ready for the surgery at the end of the month but there are still some financial concerns for Sean. While his insurance will cover all the medical expenses there are still other costs that will be a burden for him like travel, lodging, child care, among other things.

Hey Hangout Family! Sean and I got out the OR on Monday night. The first part of Tuesday I felt well but in the afternoon my heart rate was high and my blood pressure was low. They found one of the staples didn't create a good seal. I had to go back to the OR so they could add some stitches. I was out of the OR for the second time late Tuesday night. Doing better now.

Thank you for your concern! I have been out of the hospital since the 6th. I am able to leave the area and will be heading home Saturday.

My cousin is still in the hospital. There were some extra things that he has going on that caused him to need stay longer.

Hey Hangout family! I want to give an update on our status. I am fully recovered and all restrictions were lifted in August. My cousin took a little longer to heal but he is doing well also. He was able to get a job a little while ago. I talked to him every few weeks. He was recently in town and I was able to hangout with him for the first time since surgery. Thanks again to everyone for the support.
