Hey all,

As you may know, donations from you generous lot are what allow us to keep the server(s) running. The Minecraft server hosting, the map server and the forum/website all have hosting monthly costs that need to be covered. Without your donations these fairly substantial monthly costs have to be picked up by @WearyWalker and @SairFecht, so we're really grateful for any help towards these bills.

We truly appreciate all the people who have supported us so far!

The current cost and possibility of moving the server
The current monthly server costs are:

We're currently running on a server that is hosted in Germany. We made this move because operating costs far exceeded the monthly donations and the brunt of the costs was falling to the Barry and Steve. With the recent issues a lot of US players have had with connection, we would like to move the server location back to the UK, as the UK has a better connection to the US. Hosting the server in the UK is more expensive, and currently the donations barely covers our German server.

In order to move the server back to the UK, the cost would be approximately £150 a month.

We realize that not everyone are able to donate, and please do not feel pressured, but if you are able to help keep this server running, it would greatly appreciated. If just half of us donate £5 a month, we'd easily reach the £150 goal, and have more options to try and solve some of the recent issues a lot of you have been dealing with.

It bears repeating that no one here is making a profit. If the server receives over the monthly cost, it rolls over to the next month. Anything donated will go toward running the server.

How to donate
When you click on the new donation button you're taken straight to PayPal where you can make a one-off or monthly donation of any amount you wish, from either your PayPal balance, or by credit/debit card.

You can find the donation button in the sidebar on the right hand side of the forum home screen, or at the bottom of the site if you're reading this on your mobile.

One thing I love about this server is that the issue of cost here is completely transparent. It's not one of the zillion public servers that "takes donations" where you tend to assume you're just paying into the owner's bank account because there's never a cost vs earnings breakdown (not to mention that nearly all of them sell some sort of gacha-esque thing, like crates or crate keys...my feelings on those are *ahem* an entirely different discussion).

Thanks to Barry and Steve, and the rest of the Admin team for that matter, for keeping it simple yet transparent for the rest of us.
