I have so many plans for the new update and the new map! It would be fun to tell each other our plans and ideas, and then post later on what we actually end up doing

My first idea is a snowflake palace, in an ice spikes biome, or maybe on an iceberg! I want to do some cool lighting effects - this might mean lots of mobs spawning tho. I have considered whether I should terraform a mooshroom island instead, so I can have my cool lighting and not be over run by zombies. I want to have lots of micro farms and redstone contraptions too!
My other idea is of course an underwater base. I have messed about with the snapshots on single player and the coral reefs and kelp and fish and everything are so pretty! This idea is a lot less developed in my mind tho, so I expect it will be a later-on-project.
Me and Shanks also want to keep creating themed building projects where you all build a bit - it so much fun to see everyones builds collected together!

^^ If its going to be like your chunk build, its going to look great! Saw some stuff about the new floating icebergs and bleu ice in the snapshot, and that stuff is looking fantastic! Made me wonder about building with ice on the new map too.. and uhm.. being all Santa and named Berg.. CALLING DIBS

that would be AMAZING! But I dont want them to add it if it means more delays in the release!!Now if icebergs moved around with your build on top of them, THAT would be... cool.

I'm looking forward to no lag, that will be the biggest problem imho- all those new entities, waving & animated things. As there are a lot of "under the hood" changes too the wait for a useable Optifine may be longer than usual.
I think I am going to dig a big hole, it may be square. But I need horses this time, lots - so that makes for a plains build for me.

Are the horses needed to haul the dirt back to your new shop?Some great ideas!

I do plan and will regret to build a really big and somewhat steampunky ark, with (at least) 2 of every living thing on it... dragged by Ghasts... maybe... I'll have to play with sounds off ofc, but meh. ^^

I keep thinking I’d like to build a sky steampunk airship type thing, but then remember that I struggle to make cobblestone and go back to my hole.
Looking over some of the youtube videos, and after playing around with it a lot in single player, I think I'll revisit something I mentioned back in my application:

its something to do with traditional Japanese interior design - the sliding rice paper doors and special grass (?) mats.
Yup tatami are rice straw mats, fairly thick. I spent many hours on their modern equivalent ( and being smashed onto them 
) when I was into Judo in the early 1970s. I still have the bruises.
