Have you looked at using coral for trees? I want to use some pink coral for cherry trees at my Japanese themed base and have watched a couple of videos. But having to make sure there's a hidden water source seems hard....

tiny "spheres" made up of 1 waterblock in the middle and 1 coralblock on each side mixed in and puffed up with pink wool/concrete/glass blocks as variation could do the trick.

no corals but pretty and pink (love the green one too!)

I havnt had much luck with coral and trees yet, I find it much more frustrating to work with than concrete, wool and terracotta
