Leaves and dirt paths! Thankfully they need a 5x5 area of solid blocks to spawn on. Right now I have slabs laid down periodically to be safe.

Hey Iry,

Ghasts can spawn on a single block as long as they have a 5x4x5 area of air above it. Not sure if leafes, glassblocks/-panes or carpets are enough to break up the airspaces required tho.

How did hermit craft do it on their last map. They had a vast open area in the Nether. I think the ground was covered with glass maybe.

Ugh. I mean the green carpet didn't look too bad. I'm hoping with some strategic tree, bush and "cloud" placement I might not need to just cover the whole thing in wool.

Yeah I googled it because I don't follow Hermit Craft and it's glass and carpet. Unfortunately with our setup carpet doesn't make as much sense. But oh well. You gotta do what you gotta do. So I think it's gonna be all carpet with leaves and maybe some carpet rivers, haha. I need to get a ton of green wool. I'd just do something in the sky, but I also have to deal with pigmen on the rails.

I have no idea but It ultimately won't matter. I'm gonna protect the WHOLE place. Maybe bring in some livestock for a bit of life.

If anyone has wool I can borrow for this project, I'd be very grateful. Tomorrow is my daughter's first birthday, and we're leaving the next day to visit my folks. I don't want to leave before I can at least ghast-proof in there. I just don't think I'll have time to find/breed/sheer enough sheep before I leave.
