We are asking people to simply respect the terrain wherever they gather resources and leave things looking nice. For example by leaving a layer of sand in a dessert or hollowing out a mesa. There is only one mesa biome on the map, though it is a large one. There is also a large dessert in the northeast corner of of the map, which can currently be reached via my nether tunnel to the newsletter. I will eventually create an extension with a portal in the dessert.
AH, hollowing out a mesa is a good idea, and doable. Much harder to leave a desert "looking nice", but a layer of sand will definitely look better than spots of dirt/stone/sand stone, but will still
look a bit odd.
It probably would to anyone who wants to build a base there, since there's only one on the map.
If all the mountains and cool landscape is stripped down to stone, it would be no different than building on a plain mountain. That's not the same aesthetic look and feel.
So, I picked a spot to make my platform for signs that is partially in the desert. Feel free to come strip sand and sandstone from it Coords are 3070/-2470 and edge is dug out. Can use my nether tunnel to get there
